1.
How will the young keep his way pure? He must guard it by your word. I seek you with my whole heart; From your commands may I not depart. In my heart your word I hid, So against you I won’t sin. Blessed are you, O LORD; Teach to me your written word With my lips I will recount All the judgments of your mouth In the way you affirm I’m pleased As in all prosperity On your laws I meditate Fix my eyes upon your ways In your statutes I am glad Your word I will not forget
2.
V1 May the LORD give you answer When the day of trouble comes. May he raise you up to safety In the name of Jacob’s God. May he send help from the sanctum And from Zion give you might. May he think of all your off’rings And accept your sacrifice. V2 May he grant your heart’s desire And establish all your plans. May we take joy in your rescue, In our God’s name lift our flag. May the LORD give all you ask for. Now I know the LORD will save His anointed; he will answer From his heav’nly holy place.
3.
I’m the LORD, your God Brought you from Egypt’s land Open up your mouth wide Fill it up then will I! Have you eat finest wheat, Honey out of the rock Have you eat finest wheat, I will satisfy you.
4.
Teach me your way, O LORD, teach me your way That I may then walk in your truth; Unite my heart to fear your name. Teach me your way, Teach me your way! I will give thanks, To You I will give thanks O Lord my God, with my whole heart I’ll glorify your name always. I will give thanks, I will give thanks!
5.
Praise the LORD! My soul praise the LORD! With all of my life, I will praise the LORD! I will be singing to my God again As long as I live, as long as I live. Do not trust in kings, the son of man. Salvation does not belong to him. His spirit departs; he returns to his land On that very day his plans will end. Blessed is the one whom Jacob’s God aids Who hopes in the LORD his God, who made Heaven and earth and the sea; all they keep; He will keep faith eternally.
6.
The LORD cares for Simple ones When I was humbled He saved me Turn, my soul, now To your rest For the LORD has made you Greatly blessed
7.
If the LORD doesn’t build the house Those who labor work in vain. If the LORD doesn’t watch the town Those who watch, stay awake in vain. Early you will rise in vain And delay your rest again You will eat the bread of pain But his beloved has sleep from him. See the LORD our children grants; His reward, fruit of the womb. As arrows in a warrior’s hand So are children of one‘s youth. Oh how blessed is the man With his quiver full of them. He will not be shamed although In the gate he speaks with foes.
8.
Sing to the LORD a new song Sing to the LORD all the earth! Sing to the LORD, bless his name Tell day to day that he saves. Declare in the nations his fame Among all the peoples relate His marvelous works, for the LORD Is great and must greatly be praised.
9.
LORD in heaven without end You have caused your word to stand. And your faithfulness endures Every generation sure LORD in heaven without end You have caused your word to stand. LORD in heaven without end You have caused your word to stand. You have made the earth remain So that it will stand in place LORD in heaven without end You have caused your word to stand.
10.
LORD, my heart is not lifted high, And I do not raise up my eyes. I’m not concerned with things beyond me, Which are too marvelous, too great for me. Rather, my soul I’ve calmed and made still, Like a weaned child on his mother rests; Like a weaned child my soul is in me. Hope in the LORD, Israel, now and always.
11.
All you servants of the LORD, Come, bless the LORD! You who stand by night in his house, Come, bless the LORD! Lift your hands up in the sanctum; May the LORD bless you from Zion; He has made the earth and heaven. Come, bless the LORD!
12.
God, you are my God; I seek for you My soul is earnestly thirsting for you I long for you with all that I am As in a dry, weary, waterless land. So I’ve seen you in the holy place Your pow’r and glory capture my gaze Your love is better, better than life So now with my lips extol you will I.
13.
Some will trust Chariots Some will put their faith in horses As for us We will trust In your name, the LORD our God. They will bow And fall down We will rise and stand together LORD, save the king May he respond, Answer when we cry out.
14.
V1 Thank the LORD, for he is good For his love endures forever To the God of gods give thanks For his love endures forever Yes, his love never ends To the Lord of lords be honor For his love endures forever To the only wonder worker For his love never ends. V2 To the skillful heaven-maker For his love endures forever To the one who is earth-spreader It lays out upon the water For his love never ends Unto him the great light-maker For his love endures forever And the sun the day will govern For his love never ends V3 He remembered us when low For his love endures forever Saved us from our enemies For his love endures forever Yes, his love never ends He gives food to every creature For his love endures forever Yes, the God of heaven honor For his love never ends.
15.
I will now in peace Both lie down and sleep For you alone, O LORD Make me dwell secure

about

Now In Peace is a unique addition to our catalogue. Instead of entirely new melodies, we've taken traditional lullaby tunes and created fresh arrangements with the psalms. Visit psalterproject.com/sing for chord charts, lead sheets, piano music, and more.
